• WARD CHURCHILL GETS FIRED
The first, very long chapter of the Ward Churchill saga ended this afternoon as just about everybody including Churchill had predicted: He was fired from his job as ethnic studies professor at the University of Colorado.
“We’re his students, and we’re here for solidarity.” They brought all of the protest signs, and chained smoked while they waited for their hero.
His scholarship IS about politics, not scholarship.
I wanted to go see Ward on his last day as faculty on the payroll of the Colorado taxpayers.
“Ward, why the plastic pipes?”
He replied “Maybe I’ll do a little jousting”

El Marco Question Wipes Smile Off Ward’s Face
“Why do the Native Americans say you were never a member of their tribe? Why did you lie on your application when you joined CU Boulder?” “Ward, if you’re fired today, will you move to Cuba?” Facing most of the camera crews of Colorado, El Marco asks “did you commit fraud when you stated you are a Native American?” “Why have you never responded to the tribal elders who claim you are not one of them?”Churchill exits stage left, into the Regents meeting.
ALL OF WARD’S SUPPORTERS
I counted thirteen of them.
SMASH THE F$@#K OUT OF CAPITALISM…
but not until Daddy pays my tuition.
This guy appeared so stoned I thought he stopped breathing for about half an hour. Note crystal around neck.
Do you Speak Zappa-tista?
I spoke with a number of students and the subject of Chiapas and the Zapatistas kept coming up. “No, I haven’t been to Chipas, but I wanna go.” “The Eichmann comment was taken out of context…America kills millions on every continent.” D’ya think they learned that from Churchill?
So who cares if Ward “lied” about having Native blood? What he gets looked down upon because he stood up for what he believed in? What’s wrong with society today were so post to move on from the past and learn from the mistakes our ancestors made. But it seems like we still can’t get past the color of our skin!
