The Teaparty Movement, The Democrat Party, Racism and Incitement!

By El Marco

How about “Redistributing” common sense and brotherly love?

After a massive kickoff rally in Searchlight, Nevada, the Tea Party Express III is winding its way across America. They are received by large rallies of Tea Party patriots in city after city along the way. The three bus, 43 city tour arrives in Washington DC this week for a mega-rally on tax day April 15th.

Recent polls show that the Tea Party movement has bipartisan support. Despite a year-long stream of hate speech and lies from the mainstream media and Democrat officials, 63% of Americans say their views are closer to the Teaparty’s than to the President’s.

The mainstream media, in lockstep with the Administration, has gone to the gutter in their effort to brand this important movement as a pack of howling racists.

The Tea Party movement, meanwhile, has seen no shortage of critics in the press. The New York Times has faulted it for setting off a powder keg of “mostly white” nativists, separatists, militia members and wild conspiracy theorists. Columnist Frank Rich compared Tea Partiers’ “tsunami of anger” to that of Nazis and segregationists. Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson said they are guilty of echoing the “paranoid ravings of the most extreme right-wing nutcases.”

And the beat goes on: CNN worried that the “dangerous rhetoric” of Tea Party activists may be “inciting violence” against lawmakers. And Salon columnist Joan Walsh did one better, painting the group as “disturbingly racist and reactionary, from its roots to its highest branches.”  – Fox News

Democrat leaders describe Teapartyers as Nazisevil-mongersracists, and un-American. In an attempt to provoke an ugly incident Congressional Black Caucus members went fishing for racism on Capitol Hill. They paraded in the midst of  a Teaparty protest immediately before the final vote on the healthcare bill. The MSM has endlessly reported that Teapartyers hurled the “n” word at congressmen. There exists no photo or sound-bite evidence despite the sea of cameras present at the time and a $100,000 reward for proof.

Now Marinated-in-Marxism Democrats and supporters have posted plans to impersonate patriots to infiltrate and disrupt Teapartys on April 15th including the mega rally in DC which is the finale for the Tea Party Express. Incitement is what the anti-Teaparty hate campaign is all about and that is not acceptable in a civil society. Having Agent Provocateurs performing for the Democrat party media machine is anti-democratic and dangerous.

With SEIU union boss Andy Stern the most frequent visitor to Obama’s Oval Office, it came as no surprise to see union goons confronting Tea Partiers in the streets last summer. In a fashion common in third world dictatorships, unionized workers intimidated Tea Partiers in cities across America.

Kenneth Gladney. at a Teaparty Express II event in Denver

This White House-directed thuggery culminated in the beating and hospitalization of Kenneth Gladney. Andy Stern’s S.E.I.U. thugs didn’t approve of a black man peddling patriotic products at a townhall protest, so they beat the hell out of him while calling him a “nigger”.

Andrew Breitbart explains: “Let’s go back to the Kenneth Gladney situation…The exact day that Barack Obama’s administration said of the town hall protests that we need to punch back twice as hard, a memo came from John Sweeney, from the AFLCIO, saying for organized labor to get into town hall protesters’ faces. That’s the day that all the violence happened. The exact moment that the violence happened. And the ‘n’-word was hurled at Kenneth Gladney, and he was beaten to a pulp and our good friends at Media Matters were there, to basically blame Kenneth Gladney. And I wondered at the time, I don’t understand, why are they defending this hate crime? And I just found out yesterday, from some documentation that we got, that the SEIU pays Media Matters tens of thousands of dollars a year, and so they’re there to do cleanup after they act like thugs.”

Months later, Eric Holder, United States Attorney General, saw fit to make sure assault charges were dropped against the Obama race enforcers just as in the Black Panther voter intimidation case!

Americans recognize this type of activity as that normally seen initiated by anti-democratic regimes like that of the Castros, Chavezes and Mugabes of the world. In Cuba they are called Repudiation agents. This comes at the same time that the Castros are preparing to send out the mobs against dissenters and bloggers in Cuba.

I am primarily a photographer, and have documented the Teaparties for the historical record. I have met many in the movement as well as members of the Express. They are wonderful people. One such person is Lloyd Marcus.

Marcus and grandparents of the first USN Seal killed in Iraq, Marc Lee

I first met Lloyd Marcus in 2008. He told me about his life, and how living in the first government housing projects impacted his family and the black community there. It was the story of how big government’s attempt to eradicate poverty collided with the 1960s narco-sexual liberation movement to create a disastrous nightmare for black families.

Lloyd escaped the fate of many of his cousins whose lives were lost or ruined by 60s liberalism’s faulty doctrines. He shrugged off what he calls the “victim mindset instilled by liberals” and forged his own way as a free man living a conservative life of common sense and brotherly love.

Here is what I posted about Lloyd in ’08:

Lloyd Marcus is a wonderful singer and talented painter. He grew up in the projects of East Baltimore. The tragedies he saw there as a child made him realize that Great Society projects and welfare destroy people’s lives and their communities.

Marcus’ drift toward the right of the political spectrum began when he was about 10 years old. His parents moved with their five children into a brand-new, high-rise apartment building in the Baltimore projects. Then came their neighbors. Most of them were on various types of governmental assistance. Many were drug addicts, alcoholics and criminals. They destroyed the apartment building. “Within one year, it was ruined,” Marcus said. “It taught me a lot about liberalism. If you don’t work for something, you don’t care about it. People blame the white man. It wasn’t the white man in the halls raping people.”

As an survivor of the left’s “cultural revolution”, and a veteran of the Tea Party movement, he has become a leading voice for resistance to Barack Obama’s attempt to build a greater socialist utopia and “change America” forever.

Lloyd Marcus

“As a black conservative, I am often called a traitor to my race. I submit that the true traitors are the race profiteers: liberals and socialists who have hijacked Dr. King’s movement, shattered his dream, and betrayed his legacy.

Remember this classic commercial? As a car drives down the highway, trash is thrown from the window, littering the landscape. The camera cuts to the face of an American Indian. A tear rolls down his cheek. Imagine the face being that of MLK. A tear rolls down his cheek upon seeing what has happened to his inspired movement and his dream of brotherhood.” –  Lloyd Marcus

Political activism is a sacred way of life for liberal/socialists and radicals, and for decades they have poured their souls into tearing down America and fabricating a Euro-style welfare state. For the loud, lewd left, dissent has always been trumpeted as the greatest virtue in America. “Dissent is the highest form of patriotism” signs were all the rage up till about a year and a half ago. Now, with the election of America’s most radical leftist senator to the presidency, dissent is no longer patriotic. It is now called racism.

Working together with the artists and activists who make up the Tea Party Express, Lloyd has been witness to the explosion of opposition to runaway fiscal and legislative corruption in Washington. The liberal utopians have been destroying whole communities and cities and industries for decades, and now the bill has come due. America is broke. Those who dare stand up and protest the disaster are now heretics in the the new religion of the American left:  Statism.

Denver Tea party rally on the steps of the state capitol.

By calling for limited government and fiscal responsibility, The Tea party has frightened America’s leftist elite in the Democrat party and the liberal media. Between 80 and 90 percent of all journalists, bureau chiefs and editors have voted Democrat in every presidential election since 1964. The Obama administration attacks any media outlet that is critical of the administration. The government has plans to expand party control of radio and the internet.

To say that one party’s overwhelming domination of the media is an unhealthy reality for a democratic nation is an understatement.

LLoyd Marcus:

I have traveled across America twice, on Tea Party Express tours one and two. It truly angers me to see the wonderful, hard working, decent and color-blind white patriots whom I have met at the tea parties trashed, called Nazis and racists simply because they oppose the out-of-control Obama administration.

Ironically, the true character of the tea parties is the opposite of the media’s portrayal of them. In Texas, a white cowboy at a tea party approached me pushing a stroller with two black babies he and his wife who is also white recently adopted from Africa. The cowboy said they asked God to give them babies who needed their love the most. The excited dad proudly proclaimed, “Next week they will become U.S. citizens.”

At a number of tea parties across America, I saw signs which read, “Lloyd Marcus for President!” But how could this be? Jeannine Garafolo said the tea party movement is really about white racists not wanting a black president.

The greatest proof the tea parties are not racist is the overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic response to my signature opening comment. “Hello my fellow patriots. I am not an African-American! I am Lloyd Marcus, AMERICAN!” The crowds go wild with cheers and even some tears. These patriots flock to me expressing great gratitude for my stand not to be hyphenated. Countless times I have heard, “Hyphenating divides us. We wish to be Americans.”

Do these people sound like an angry racist, hate-filled mob supportive of the killing of blacks and Jews? I submit that you know they are not. Accusations of the tea parties being racist are absurd. And yet, the liberal media is relentless in their attempts to sell their shameful lie. Liberals could care less about the devastating effect that fueling the flames of racial hatred is having on American race relations.

Folks, I take the liberal media’s accusation of racism against my fellow patriots who are white extremely personal. We patriots share a kinship through our love for our country. We are family. And you don’t allow people to dis your family. For me, the rallies are family reunions.

At our St. George, Utah rally, I felt a new level of love and concern for our country. There were numerous veterans, some from as far back as Korea expressing their displeasure with the radical changes taking place in our country. Grandmothers, a few using walkers, have been following our tour since the kick-off rally in Searchlight, NV. Young parents with new born babies in arms, baby-boomers fearful about the future of their grand kids and teenagers all thanked our multiracial Tea Party Express team for our efforts to restore America. I posed for numerous pictures and signed autographs.

As a black patriot, I have never felt a racist atmosphere nor a hint of violence. Yes, attendees are angry. It is the patriotic duty of all who love America to be angry. Today, several tea party attendees hugged me with tears streaming down their cheeks as they thanked me for standing up for our country. Several were also extremely moved by my signature proclamation that I am not a hyphenated American. They called me brother.

The media is littered with articles and news stories about the alleged “n” word incident in Washington DC. Black democrats claim they were called the “n” word fifteen times by a bunch of angry white tea party activists. I believe the accusation is a lie.

First of all, in our high tech everyone has a cellphone video camera age, video of the incident would be posted everywhere if the incident really happened. Also, as I said, I have attended over 100 tea parties. I know my fellow patriots. If a knucklehead yelled the “n” word, the crowd would have immediately verbally attacked the idiot. This accusation is another sleazy divisive attempt by an arrogant bunch of characterless democrat race exploiters and their homeys in the liberal mainstream media to dis millions of patriots who refused to sheepishly surrender our freedom, liberty and culture to their beloved messiah, Obama.

All of the news stories which accuse the tea party patriots of racism are written based on hear say by agenda driven reporters who have never attended a tea party. I am a black man who has been firmly embedded in the tea party movement since it’s beginning.

I am so sick of writing about this tired, silly and baseless accusation (racism in the tea party movement). However, the liberal mainstream media is relentless in their refusal to let it go. They have sold their souls in support of Obama’s transformation of America.

As I told the crowd today in St. George, Utah, “Folks, this is serious business. Our country is in serious trouble”.

I can not and will not allow the liberal mainstream media and democrat’s evil accusations and lies against my fine white brothers and sisters in the tea party movement to go unchallenged.

Someone informed me the left-wing Huffington Post blog trashed me for my proclaiming at Tea Parties that I’m an American rather than a hyphenated African-American. Perhaps, one of the left wing blogs inspired the hate emails I have received. They call me everything from an idiot to an MF-ing stupid “N” word. Why does simply calling myself an American inspire such anger and rage from the left?

And yet, the media lauds the left for their tolerance and compassion. The left attempts to brand us Tea Party patriots as haters, while in reality they are the ones spewing hate from deep within their souls.

Since I began traveling with the Tea Party Express, (over a hundred rallies), I have been surrounded by great Americans who love their country and simply do not want to see it transformed into Europe.

Lloyd Marcus signs his book and his CD for an admirer in Colorado.

This photo shows some of the Teaparty Express gang together in St George. Utah. On fer left is David Saucedo, a.k.a. Polatik, a new addition to the troupe. David is from Waco, Texas, where in his words he “grew up in places that big government socialist programs affected most.” His parents lived on the wrong side of the law, and that environment landed him for years in one of Texas’s toughest prisons. His story is one of redemption. In prison he became an avid reader which led him to new insights that changed his life.

David’s main purpose, as he sees it, is his mission to inspire young kids to think big and to live their dreams and to avoid the trouble that plagued his life at such an early stage. David is a volunteer for, and strong supporter of, Right Track Ministries. Right Track Ministries has formed an elective before-school program at several local middle schools. This program coaches kids on realizing their dreams, their potentials, and setting realistic action plans to accomplish their dreams.

The Dare to Dream Program teaches kids many simple messages, such as David’s message for children that “your dreams belong to you, and no one but you can accomplish them.” These middle schoolers often dream to become teachers, firemen, and police officers, as well as NBA stars and mainstream rap artists.

David says that the Dare to Dream Program teaches the fundamental business skills of goal setting and creating action plans to obtain those goals. He says that the Dare to Dream program makes sure to help the kids understand that it’s important to have a back up dream if the kids dream has to do with sports or entertainment. “We’re big on reality. We have to let the youth know that in real life you don’t see many 50 year old rappers or sports figures. You have to plan a dream to fall back on.”

“Pretty soon,” he says, “these kids will be in high school and growing up. They need to be involved, informed, and mature. We need to allow young people to be positive role models in their schools.”

David Saucedo waits to go onstage with kids he recruited in St. George.

David tells how a chance encounter with a Tea Party in Waco, Texas, eight months ago was responsible for “waking me up.” “When I met those Tea Party people, they encouraged me to read the Constitution. They encouraged me to read the Declaration of Independence, which I fell in love with, and they encouraged me to learn about big government programs, socialist programs, and how they put their foot on the neck of United States citizens. Now the mainstream media wants to call you racists, wants to say if you’re part of the Tea Party, you’re a part of an angry mob…They are trying to marginalize this movement.”

Enjoy this beautiful video, turn the volume way up, and hear the rap song that had the people in Utah cheering!

They call us extreme
They call us an angry mob
No, no.
Are you angry?
I don’t think they truly understand who we really are.
We’re not violent though.
Let me help you understand.

Fiscally responsible, that’s the Tea Party
Promotes free markets, yes, that’s the Tea Party
Limited government’s the only solution
Our only foundation should be our Constitution.

There’s a Tea Party movement
We’re not in Boston.
It’s not a race thing
Though you hear that often.

Lies, don’t believe liberal spin
Let us break it down
Tell you where it all begins.
See, in 1776 a Declaration
Written by the Founders that formed a new nation

But wait, some didn’t like the cause
Through the years they’ve been working to destroy us all
There it was 2009, dangerous times
Socialist agendas they wanted to sign

So the people combined
Said let’s have a Tea Party
Your neighbors and your friends
A mob? Hardly.

What happened is a sleeping giant chose to wake up
Have you ever heard a million people shouting “Enough!”?
The walls of the Congress and Senate are shaking
This is the result when you awake a free nation.

Fiscally responsible, that’s the Tea Party
Promotes free markets, yes, that’s the Tea Party
Limited government’s the only solution
Our only foundation should be our Constitution.

So the WTP
Chose to hit the streets
That’s the Waco Tea Party
They activated me.

Grass roots
That means from the bottom to the top
Hittin’ your community
The pleasure never stops

We’re calling out the waste
Don’t let us see you lie
We’re turning out the votes
That your money can’t buy

We turned interstates into campaign revolution
Every mile marker has seen the Constitution
Tea Parties here, Tea Parties there,
The Tea Party movement got-em running scared.

They know that their lies cannot penetrate the truth
In 2010 we’re gonna prove it at the booth
We don’t care if you’re a D, we don’t care if you’re an R,
If your votes don’t stand for the stripes and the stars

Let liberty prevail
To this I dedicate my life
I’m standing up for freedom
For my babies and my wife

Fiscally responsible, that’s the Tea Party
Promotes free markets, yes, that’s the Tea Party
Limited government’s the only solution
Our only foundation should be our Constitution.

Politicians and their lies
Washington is blemished
Career politicians’
Careers will be finished

Voting for our freedoms
In 2010
Trust me, we’re voting out
Repubs and the Dems

Now they’re telling us to flex
The Tea Party muscle
We’re coming together
Like cards when you shuffle

We’re actually only
501(c)3’s
Every state in the Union
Is drinking the tea

Overconfident,
They really thought they already won
Now we’re bringing out the workers
And we’re reaching the young

So what’s the Tea Party?
That’s a good question.
I wrote this song
So they all could quit guessing

We are the people
American blood
We won’t let our name
Be dragged through the mud

We fly the flag high
Let not the movement die
We won’t grow weary
And we won’t be shy

Fiscally responsible, that’s the Tea Party
Promotes free markets, yes, that’s the Tea Party
Limited government’s the only solution
Our only foundation should be our Constitution.

Here, David Saucedo speaks to CNN Television news producer Shannon Travis. I heard David ask him to be sure to do a fair report. In an article titled “What really happens at Tea Party rallies” Mr. Travis did report fairly, although he did echo uncritically in his article the baseless accusations of the Congressional Black Caucus members.   Excerpts below:

But here’s what you don’t often see in the coverage of Tea Party rallies: Patriotic signs professing a love for country; mothers and fathers with their children; African-Americans proudly participating; and senior citizens bopping to a hip-hop rapper.

Being at a Tea Party rally is not quite like seeing it on TV, in newspapers or online. That’s the reason CNN is covering this political movement — and doing so in ways few others can or choose to do. Speaking of stereotypes, I did get a few curious stares as I pulled up to the rallies. But not because of my skin color. It was because of my car rental: a Volvo.

Outside of the occasional stare, none of the real cowboys at the rallies came up to the Volvo and asked me, “Hey buddy — where’s your cashmere sweater and arugula?”

Jokes aside, stereotypes can loom large when they’re magnified through a television lens, on the radio, the pages of a newspaper or in the vastness of the Internet.

So, it’s important that with a newsworthy, growing phenomenon like the Tea Party movement, viewers and readers fully understand what they see and what they don’t. –  Full Shannon Travis article

If Mr. Travis had attended as a citizen with a Teaparty sign rather than as a newsman, he might have had the same experience as black blogger Bob Parks: “My son and I went to the two large protests in Washington, D.C. and the only names I was called was my own as I ran into many people who knew me and assaulted me with hugs and poses for pictures.”

As a Canadian observer, I have long noted that many Democrats seem to hurl charges of racism as casually as talking about the weather. This is part of the technique with which they  have “rebranded” their party.  At the same time (since the ’60s) Democrats have worked hard to rebrand the party of Lincoln as the new home of racism. Dems and their allies in the press have successfully scrubbed America’s collective memory of the long racist history of their party.

Black and Right blogger, Bob Parks has an article detailing that history, starting with this whopper of a lie on the Dems’ own website:

“Democrats are unwavering in our support of equal opportunity for all Americans. That’s why we’ve worked to pass every one of our nation’s Civil Rights laws… On every civil rights issue, Democrats have led the fight.”

Here are just a few points from Bob Parks’s article:

  • April 16, 1862 –  President Lincoln signs bill abolishing slavery in District of Columbia; in Congress, 99% of Republicans vote yes, 83% of Democrats vote no.
  • July 17, 1862 –  Over unanimous Democrat opposition, Republican Congress passes Confiscation Act stating that slaves of the Confederacy “shall be forever free”.
  • January 31, 1865 –  13th Amendment banning slavery passed by U.S. House with unanimous Republican support, intense Democrat opposition.
  • April 8, 1865 –  13th Amendment banning slavery passed by U.S. Senate with 100% Republican support, 63% Democrat opposition.

I’ll skip 100 years of  Bob’s racist terror history and go to modern times:

  • September 9, 1957 –  President Dwight Eisenhower signs Republican Party’s 1957 Civil Rights Act.
  • September 24, 1957 –  Sparking criticism from Democrats such as Senators John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson, President Dwight Eisenhower deploys the 82nd Airborne Division to Little Rock, AR to force Democrat Governor Orval Faubus to integrate public schools.
  • May 6, 1960 –  President Dwight Eisenhower signs Republicans’ Civil Rights Act of 1960, overcoming 125-hour, around-the-clock filibuster by 18 Senate Democrats.
  • May 2, 1963 –  Republicans condemn Democrat sheriff of Birmingham, AL for arresting over 2,000 African-American schoolchildren marching for their civil rights.
  • June 9, 1964 –  Republicans condemn 14-hour filibuster against 1964 Civil Rights Act by U.S. Senator and former Ku Klux Klansman Robert Byrd (D-WV), who still serves in the Senate.
  • June 10, 1964 –   Senate Minority Leader Everett Dirksen (R-IL) criticizes Democrat filibuster against 1964 Civil Rights Act, calls on Democrats to stop opposing racial equality. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was introduced and approved by a staggering majority of Republicans in the Senate. The Act was opposed by most southern Democrat senators, several of whom were proud segregationists—one of them being Al Gore Sr. Democrat President Lyndon B. Johnson relied on Illinois Senator Everett Dirksen, the Republican leader from Illinois, to get the Act passed.
  • August 4, 1965 –  Senate Republican Leader Everett Dirksen (R-IL) overcomes Democrat attempts to block 1965 Voting Rights Act; 94% of Senate Republicans vote for landmark civil right legislation, while 27% of Democrats oppose. Voting Rights Act of 1965, abolishing literacy tests and other measures devised by Democrats to prevent African-Americans from voting, signed into law; higher percentage of Republicans than Democrats vote in favor

Their branding the Teaparty as racist is only another Orwellian chapter in the Democrat Party’s own long history of racism. I have always been puzzled how the party that created the KKK as its terrorist wing could attract any black voters at all.

William and Selena Owens tour with the Tea Party Express. Mr. Owens is the author of Obama: Why Black America Should Have Doubts. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and former U.S. congresswoman from Georgia wrote the forward to his book. Mrs. Owens wrote The Power Within a Conservative Woman. They speak about their faith and the importance of strong marriages and family values.

The Tea Party Express will arrive in Boston for a mega-rally with Sarah Palin on April 14th. The tour concludes on April 15th in Washington, D.C. with a massive Tax Day rally within view of the White House. Come see and hear for yourself the common sense and brotherly love that is central to the Tea Party movement. The music is great, and the goal is a free and strong America.
