As Obama arrived at Denver International Airport, hundreds of citizens gathered on the steps of the Colorado State Capital to let their disagreement with Obama’s economic policies be known.
“FDR’s Treasury secretary and close friend, Henry Morganthau, conceded this fact to Congressional Democrats in May 1939: “We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. And I have just one interest, and if I am wrong … somebody else can have my job. I want to see this country prosperous. I want to see people get a job. I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises … I say after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started … And an enormous debt to boot!” – Thanks to Patrick
Last week President Obama stated that “economists from across the political spectrum agree” on the need for massive government spending to stimulate the economy. In fact, many economists disagree. Hundreds of them, including Nobel laureates and other prominent scholars, signed a statement that the Cato Institute placed in major newspapers across the United States.
The grassroots crowd showed up as a result of hearing about it on talk radio and emails from friends. One group that organized the rally is Americans for Prosperity.
The Independence Institute had gigantic checks made out for people to sign, made out for the amount that it’s calculated that this so-called stimulus will cost each American family.
It’s appropriate that a number of children signed the checks. This little girl’s generation, and their children, will be paying for the pork in this bill for their entire lives.
“‘Those who don’t learn from history are bound to repeat it.’ The Dow Jones dropped 30% after the first bailout package was approved on October 2nd. Just the idea of a second bailout bill was greeted with a 7% drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average .

Several speakers addressed the enthusiastic crowd. Michelle Malkin, Tom Tancredo, Dick Wadhams, Jon Caldara (of the Independence Institute) and several Republican Colorado State Legislators spoke about how what Washington is doing is wrong, wrong, wrong.
One of the speakers reminded the crowd that Senator Chuck Schumer said “Nobody cares about the pork in the bill” and had the crowd chanting: “YES, WE CARE!” (instead of Yes, We CAN)

Michelle Malkin provided a roasted pig. She announced that this was a $30,000 a plate pork dinner. After the last of the speakers, Michelle actually carved up the pig and served it to the crowd, smothered in BBQ sauce. Mmm Mmm Yum. Now that’s real pork you can believe in!
This real live pig was foaming at the mouth. Guess he’s been drinking from the same trough as the Democrat Party’s economists.
That’s right, each and every family will lose $30,000 on average out of their paychecks for this plan. How exactly is this supposed to stimulate the economy?

When Bush gave us a rebate of $600 Michelle Obama said “What are you going to do with $600. Buy a pair of earrings?” She also said we have holes in our souls. But heck I can forgive that as long as I get my $13.00 a wk. Yup, that big tax break B.O said he would give us.
I can see him, Pelosi and Reid sitting around saying “We promised a tax break. We have to give them something.” Pelosi said “just give them $13.00 and week and they all fell out laughing. And then Reid said. “Hey why not. We won. We can do anything we want.” $13.00 a week is a slap in the face. They can keep my $13.00 insult.”

E-Verify refers to a provision that would have required any businesses receiving federal stimulus cash to use an easy computer program called E-Verify to make sure that the jobs they generate go to American citizens or documented foreign workers, not illegal immigrants. This provision was dropped from the final bill.

Liberals are just automatons, and it’s been their normal modus operandi to instigate personal attacks for a very long time. This is nothing new. A classic film, the comedy ‘Kentucky Fried Movie,’ has a little skit that resembles a point-counterpoint TV show, where a conservative outlines his grievances and ideas cogently and competently, and the liberal response is merely “My colleague is just full of s**t.” That movie was released around 1978. Change you can believe in? Yeah, well, maybe, but that means you actually have to change. Is it just me, or has nothing really changed?

Protesting Generational Theft…
President Obama signed the stimulus bill yesterday in Denver. It seemed there was no stopping this inevitable…
I have a little masochist in me and decided to visit the DailyKos web site a few days ago. After reading approximately 350 posts there and reading all of the posts here a vivid pattern has emerged. Most of the posts made by people who identify with the right are usually polite and cogent. Those from the left are usually incoherent, vile, arrogant and obscene. I think that the left in this country is infected with narcissism including those in the leadership position. The posts from the left usually utilize name calling and vulgar language in an attempt to make their point. It reminds me of a couple of kids having a face to face argument both of them screaming “oh ya” at each other.
Good Now I have pictures of all the America Haters in my state. Bigots, fascists, traitors all!!!
I am so glad we have a president elected by and for the people. Obama will end this Depression republicans have brought upon us. Regardless of how much conservatives attempt to obstruct.

Unfortunately there are other “changes” in the Obama administration that seem to be slipping under the media radar just as this protest did: Obama signed “Presidential Determination No. 2009-15” after just a few days in office, which allocates $20.3 million for Palestinian migration and refugee assistance AND the Obama Administration announced it would participate in “conference preparations”, for the U.N. “Durban Review Conference,” scheduled for April, whose preparatory committee is chaired by Libya. Vice chairs include Iran and Cuba. The conference is organized under the auspices of the U.N. Human Rights Council, which the Bush Administration refused to join. The latest draft of the so-called Outcome Document has Israel’s “racial policies” as a major theme, as is “the plight of Palestinian refugees and other inhabitants of the Arab occupied territories,” meaning Israel itself. They have yet to decide to include a line that the Holocaust “resulted in the murder of one third of the Jewish people.” Evidentally Iran objects.
The draft also calls “on states to develop, and where appropriate to incorporate, permissible limitations on the exercise of the right to freedom of expression into national legislation.” Yes, you read that right. The transparent purpose is to criminalize all criticism of Islam, a.k.a. ‘Islamophobia., ” and Obama wants the U.S. to participate in this! Our freedoms are slipping away……….

Must be some home-schooled people at that Independence Institute, clearly they can’t do the math. They claim the stimulus plan costs each family $30,000. That’s wrong, another exaggeration, another lie from the Republican party (remember them? they partied themselves out of power with eight years of robbing the treasury with their illegal war on Iraq). With a few over 100,000,000 households in the US, dividing up the cost of the stimulus plan results in far less than one third of that amount per household. I stopped reading at that point, if you’re going to be that obvious in your lies.

I would have loved to have been there. It looks like nothing was destroyed. Everybody looked relaxed, happy and enjoying themselves. No cars were set on fire or overturned. No trash in the wake of the protest. No looting was going on. How come? I thought when you protest, you are supposed to act like an uncivilized, knuckle- dragging, raving lunitic, as in left-wing protests. It’s not good for television if the protest wasn’t dramatically violent. That’s the reason I didn’t see or hear about it. Beside the posters would have been offensive to hope and change. Keep it going on and on and on. Real Americans must unite and get our country back.

I applaud you. This was great to see. We need this in every state. Every city. Every small town. Tell your Sheriff’s, policemen, firemen, Mayors about the New World Order and ask them what they think will be their role. We are overrun with Islamists and illegals. Islamists that are professing to be a moderate and wanting to better relations with Muslims and Americans. I guess noone told him that chopping off his wife’s head would not help this cause.

Thanks, Juan! Now when people don’t believe me when I tell them that $288B in tax breaks is a lie, I can send them right to the government’s own website, where the figures show that $123B of that $288B actually goes into the OTHER categories.

Spending a trillion dollars on an unnecessary invasion of Iraq is OK, but devoting a similar amount to investing in the U.S. infrastructure and cutting personal taxes is somehow irresponsible? Wingnut logic, such as it is, escapes me.

According to the polls, the majority of Americans OPPOSED the montrous spending bill recently passed by Congress (even though most of the media failed to report all the problems with the bill). The point is: the government has become an oligarchy; we are no longer a republic. The oligarchy serves the special interests, not the citizenry. In fact, we are no longer citizens, we are federal subjects. There is only one solution short of full-scale revolution: replace the 435 politician-oligarchs in the federal House with 6,000 citizen representatives (see Thirty-Thousand.org).
